A very special “volunteer”
Mystic Arts World (often called Mystic Arts) was a counterculture storefront, bookstore, gallery, and head shop in Laguna Beach, California, run by the Brotherhood of Eternal Love in the late 1960s - early 70s. It served as the unofficial headquarters and "mercantile expression" for the Brotherhood of Eternal Love, a group of spiritual seekers, surfers, and LSD advocates often dubbed the “Hippie Mafia.”
To be perfectly honest, when we first came across this unique cultivar, it is what we gardeners call a “volunteer.” It spouted up in our medicinal garden a few seasons ago and turned out to be quite a surprise with a full spectrum cannabinoid panel. With dominate THC and elevated amounts of CBG and THCv, we knew we had something very special with medicinal properties. We are continuing to refine Mystic Arts every season, elevating the supportive minor cannabinoids in our breeding program.
Heritage Notes
Some of the most remarkable cultivars in our collection are what we call volunteers that may have come up on their own each season. This mother of Mystic Arts was a volunteer from our medicinal garden which we crossed with another medicinal strain. The result was a 3:1:1 mixed ratio of cannabinoids which falls into the backbone of work at Sugar Hill Farm to create varietals with full/ complex chemical profiles.
