Sugar Hill Farm

Under the California Sun

Sugar Hill Farm sits on a hillside above Anderson Valley, where sunshine-filled days, cool nights, and ocean breezes create optimum growing conditions.

The farm and gardens were originally started by Rosemary, nicknamed “Sugar” during her childhood in Alabama. With an extensive farming and gardening background, she decided to grow cannabis for medical dispensaries as well as biomass she could use in a balm for pain treatment of her rheumatoid arthritis. Now close to ninety, her son Jim has taken over the property groundskeeping along with the licensed cannabis cultivation.

Grown with Care

We are strong advocates for preserving the working knowledge of Mendocino County’s legacy farmers and including them in the emerging legal market.

Some of our best practices for craft cannabis farming include full-term sun cultivation, organic farming methods, the use of native soil conditioned with garden compost, and the propagation of cultivar genetics that thrive in our specific micro-climate. The property also has a small orchard that provides fruit for guests at our inns, 500 rose bushes, extensive shade gardens as well as established perennial flower boarders.

Truly Sublime Cannabis

At Sugar Hill Farm, we specialize in the finest full-term sungrown Cannabis, organically grown and carefully tended every step of the way. With a focus on native soil, area-specific genetics, and zero crop coverage, we believe that a terroir-driven harvest from a world-renowned legacy region produces some of the best terpene-rich flower available today.
