How Sublinguals Work

The tissue beneath your tongue is thin and rich with tiny blood vessels. When a pastille rests there and slowly dissolves, part of what it carries can pass through that tissue and enter the bloodstream directly, rather than taking the long route through the stomach and liver.

That is why our pastilles are meant to be held, not chewed. Place one under your tongue or against the inside of your cheek and let it dissolve over 5–10 minutes. The longer it stays in contact, the more it can do its work.

The Rosin Base

Each pastille begins on our farm in Mendocino, with rare landrace cultivars grown in living soil under open sky. At harvest, flowers are frozen fresh to hold their aromatic character as it was in the living plant.

The trichomes, the plant's resin glands, are gently separated using only ice water. That hash is then pressed with heat and pressure into rosin. No solvents and no chemicals touch it at any stage. What remains is the full chemistry of the flower: its cannabinoids, its terpenes, and the subtle compounds that give each cultivar its own personality.

Nano Technology

Cannabis resin is an oil, and oil and water don't naturally mix. Our bodies, however, are mostly water. To bridge that gap, we disperse our rosin into droplets so fine they are measured in nanometers, thousands of times smaller than the width of a human hair.

These droplets spread evenly throughout each pastille, so every piece carries a consistent dose. Their small size also gives them far more surface area to meet the tissue they contact. We use a gentle, low-temperature process designed to keep the rosin's delicate terpenes intact rather than cooking them away.

Onset & Duration

Every body is different, and how you feel depends on your metabolism, what you've eaten, your tolerance, and the cultivar itself.

• Onset: Many people begin to notice effects within about 15–30 minutes, often sooner than with traditional edibles, which can take an hour or more.

• Duration: Effects commonly last 2–4 hours. Because some of each pastille is inevitably swallowed, a gentler second wave may follow for some people.

• Start low, go slow: Begin with one pastille (10 mg THC), and wait at least two hours before taking more.
