Originally sourced from a high-elevation selection from the Hindu Kush range spanning Afghanistan and Pakistan — one of the oldest continuously cultivated cannabis regions on earth—and the source population from which most of what we call indica descends. Centuries of harsh mountain conditions produce short, compact, broad-leafed plants armored in resin. The aroma is earthy and hash-spiced with a sweet edge. The effect is deeply relaxing and physical. Historically grown for charas, and still one of the best hash cultivars available.

Heritage Notes
The Hindu Kush range is among the oldest centers of cannabis cultivation anywhere, and the source population from which most of what we now call indica descends. Here the plant was grown primarily for charas — hashish separated by hand from living plants — a use that selected for extreme resin production over centuries. Nearly every modern Kush traces back to this region, usually through only a few generations.
