Super Deluxe
A new hybrid from landrace genetics
Super Deluxe is a Double Dalai cross, one of the earlier creations by Silk Route to Salvation, whose entire program is built on Central and South Asian landrace stock. The breeding included multiple generations to F4 and beyond.
The Double Dalai side is itself a landrace stack: Hindu Kush crossed to Burmese, then brought to Purple Pakistani Chitral and a Kashmir landrace. The result carries mountain-indica resin and density with the added complexity of the Burmese and the color common to Chitral. This is truly a unique breeding project that is like many of our own at Sugar Hill Farm, using landrace genetics to form a new hybrid.
Heritage Notes
This line is a deliberate act of preservation: Hindu Kush and Burmese stock brought to Purple Pakistani Chitral and a Kashmir landrace, then stabilized across multiple generations. Each of those populations comes from a distinct mountain growing tradition, and each is increasingly difficult to source in unhybridized form. Working them into a stable line keeps the genetics available to growers rather than locked in a collection.
