A Humboldt County classic

Classic flavors and effects abound with this cultivar we have worked with over the past few years at Sugar Hill Farm. We originally picked up the genetics at a Humboldt seed swap. An OG selection out of Alder Point, deep in the Eel River country of Humboldt County — one of the small communities where Northern California cultivation was quietly refined over decades. Carries the OG signature of dense, resin-heavy flowers and a pungent fuel-and-pine nose, shaped by a specific place and a specific set of growers. With San Fernando Valley OG, Topanga Canyon OG and Sour Diesel in the lineage and ongoing selections at our farm, we have been told by many that this is one of their favorite OG’s out there.

Heritage Notes

Humboldt County’s reputation was built in small communities like Alder Point, deep in the Eel River country, where growers refined their own selections over decades with little contact with the wider market. The OG family reshaped California cannabis in the 1990s and 2000s, and the versions worth keeping are usually the ones a particular family held onto rather than the ones that spread commercially. This is an example of a cultivar we have acquired by another farmer and continued to refine and work with it at Sugar Hill Farm with careful selective breeding and reproduction.
