Blue Hawaii Dream
Two Old School Classics
It took us years to find the truest Blue Dream genetics from a farm in Santa Cruz that has been keeping this line alive for the past 25 years. It’s been a crowd pleaser ever since it landed on our menu, so we began to breed it at Sugar Hill Farm. As data nerds, we discovered the lab results from another very rare classic called Molokai Frost and sought out a preservationist who could provide the original genetics. With both parents having remarkably dominate pinene in their lab panels, they became the perfect match. Blue Hawaii Dream is slightly brighter than the original Blue Dream and with a bit more of a Sativa influence from its Hawaiian parent.
Heritage Notes
Some breeding projects begin with requests from other communities looking for something that is difficult to find in the current market. In mapping our terpene clusters at Sugar Hill Farm, the scientist and medical doctor we were working with at the time, found us to be an outlier with many cultivars having elevated Pinene and Terpinolene. We had requests in the medical community for Pinene rich flower with it’s beneficial therapeutic effects. Blue Hawaii Dream was developed by crossing the very rare Molokai Frost with a true Blue Dream from Santa Cruz. Both had remarkable Pinene in their labs.
