From April through September, The Madrones hosts a Cannabis Weekend the third weekend of every month. Whether you are a cannabis connoisseur or just cannabis curious, our weekends are both a gorgeous getaway and an exploration of Mendocino County's prized plant.

Farm Tour
Saturday, 10AM - 11:30AM

Available to overnight guests of The Madrones and The Brambles only, Saturday’s farm tour is a rare opportunity to visit a working cannabis farm on its beautiful hillside location right outside of Philo. Sugar Hill Farm is where Jim and Brian grow heritage, landrace cannabis for The Bohemian Chemist using sustainable growing practices and their signature hands-on, family farm approach. Learn about the process from planting to harvest, drying, and packaging, with time to ask questions.

Farmers Market
Sunday, 11am - 5pm

Sunday’s Craft Marketplace in the Consumption Lounge gives you the opportunity to meet small local cannabis farmers and learn more about their product for sale inside at The Bohemian Chemist herbal apothecary. Meet your farmer, ask questions, and bring home intentionally grown cannabis.

• Farm Tours are only available to guests staying at the hotel.

• Farm Tours depart promptly at 10:00am and are concluded at 11:30am. Guests meet in Sun & Cricket for directions to the farm.  

• If several guests are attending, please carpool.  

• Farm tours must be scheduled at least one week in advance.  Add the Farm tour to your online reservation or call the Inn directly.
